Solar Pv, has a new lease of life!

Updated: Jul 14, 2022

January 2022 saw the second-highest number of new monthly installations in the UK solar industry since the closure of FiTs!

Solar Panels, Solar Installer Northwich, Solar PV Cheshire, MCS Accreditation

If we cast our mind back to 2015/16, Solar Pv was being installed by the bucket loads. Savvy homeowners and business owners where installing their solar pv systems to help to reduce their energy costs and grid consumption but also to benefit from the government backed Feed In Tariff (FiT). Since the closure of the FiT scheme, the installation of solar panels reduced significantly despite the increase in efficiency and ongoing improvement in the technology. Without the FiT some homeowners become discouraged from investing in Solar Pv, even though the fundamental principles behind having solar installed remained consistent such as the reduced energy consumption from the national grid.

More recently with increased energy prices which have risen far beyond the estimated inflation rate prediction, this has made way for further saving being made from Solar panels which homeowners and businesses are now jumping on on their droves. Add to this the improvement in technology of battery storage and the savings are substantial.

Jan 2022 has seen the second highest number of solar pv installations since the closure of the FiT scheme which is brilliant news for green energy and the environment.

Over the past few weeks we have been quoting and installing more Solar Pv systems than we have since the closure of the FiT scheme. Entire Services have remained MCS accredited (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) not because it's compulsory as it was when the FiT scheme was around but more to show our commitment and professional standards towards the renewable industry and solar pv in particular.

As a MCS accredited company our workmanship, consumer compliance and back office processes are inspected annually to ensure that we remain to deliver the very best service to our clients.
